Our unique Wine-Friendly Ratings are mathematically calculated according to the formula developed and refined over the past several years by WineLovers.net:
A. Wine Policy (maximum 5 points) 5 points -- Restaurant allows diners to bring wine, without restrictions 3 points -- Restaurant allows diners to bring wine, with minor restrictions 2 points -- Restaurant allows diners to bring wine, but only on certain days 1 point -- Restaurant allows diners to bring wine, with significant restrictions 0 points -- Restaurant does not allow diners to bring wine
B. Corkage Fee (maximum 5 points) 5 points -- No corkage fee 4 points -- Corkage fee of $1 to $5 per bottle 3 points -- Corkage fee of $6 to $10 per bottle 2 points -- Corkage fee of $11 to $15 per bottle 1 point -- Corkage fee of $16 to $20 per bottle 0 points -- Corkage fee of $21 or more per bottle
C. Wines Offered by the Glass (maximum 5 points) 5 points -- 50 or more different wines are offered by the glass 4 points -- 20~49 different wines are offered by the glass 3 points -- 10~19 different wines are offered by the glass 2 points -- 5~9 different wines are offered by the glass 1 point -- Has wine List, but less than 5 wines are offered by the glass
D. Wine List Viewable on Restaurant’s Website (maximum 2 points) 2 points -- Restaurant’s Website lists 50 or more wines 1 point -- Restaurant’s Website lists less than 50 wines 0 points -- Wine list is not viewable on Restaurant's Website
